Brother KH-160 — Manual Mid-Gauge Knitting Machine

Brother KH-160 is a manual, mid-gauge flatbed knitting machine designed for making knit fabric much faster than by hand. It’s similar to other Brother and compatible machines used for home garment and accessory knitting.

Key Features

  • Type: Manual flatbed knitting machine - no electricity or computerized patterning.

  • Gauge: Approximately 6 mm (about 4-gauge) - good for DK to worsted weight yarns.

  • Needle Count: Typically around 160-164 needles, giving a knitting width suitable for garments and panels.

  • Stitch Types: Can knit basic and textured stitches such as stockinette (plain knit), stripes, tuck (pull-up), slip stitch, fair isle (manual colourwork), punch lace, weaving and other motifs with the right tools.

  • Accessories: Machine often comes with a carriage (the part you push), sinker plate, transfer tools, cast-on comb, weights, yarn tension unit, row counter, needle pusher, oil and other basic tools.

Knitting Capabilities

The KH-160 lets you knit panels of fabric - like sweater fronts/backs, scarves, hats, etc. - more uniformly and quickly than hand knitting. Because it’s manually operated, you control each row by pushing the carriage across the needle bed. It’s especially suitable for hobbyists and home knitters who want to produce mid-weight knitwear.

How It’s Used

  • Manual Operation: No motor - you push the carriage across the bed to knit each row.

  • Yarn: Ideal for mediums weights (DK/worsted), though adjustments in tension and tools can adapt different fibres.

  • Patterning: Pattern work like fair isle or tuck stitch is done manually or using manual pattern tools rather than computerized patterning.

Brother KR-160 — Ribber Attachment

  • Function: Adds a second set of needles below the main bed, letting you knit ribbing (1×1, 2×2), pearl stitches, cuffs, collars and reversible rib fabrics.

  • Allows more complex stitch combinations that require two beds — e.g., English rib and certain tuck or pattern stitches — offering more garment finishing options.

  • KR stands for “knit ribber” — similar to how KR models work with other Brother knitting machines.

Refunds are generally initiated in the following scenarios:
When Preauthorized paymet Orders are cancelled before delivery (Please read our Cancellation Policy)
If our courier partner is unable to deliver the order
If you wish to return the product, in accordance with our Return Policy

 

2. How long does it take to process Refund?


Refund depends upon the mode of payment. Please refer to the list below:
Net banking: 3 - 4 Business days
Debit card: 7 - 9 Business days
Credit card: 10 - 15 Business days
In case of any clarification or If you have not received the refund within the stipulated time, kindly contact your banks customer care number to know the status of the transaction.

 

3. When does a Refund get declined?


Refund may get declined if the product received by us is not as per your claim or Order ID is missing on the package.
